Applying for Community Housing / Eligibility

Under the One Social Housing System there is a common application system for all forms of social housing, including public housing and community-managed transitional and longer-term housing.

All eligible applicants are placed on a housing register, which is managed by the Department of Housing and Public Works.

To apply for community housing, please contact your local Department of Housing and Public Works’ Housing Service Centre to have your eligibility and housing needs assessed. https://www.qld.gov.au/housing/public-community-housing/apply-for-housing/
